The newly elected government led by the BNP in the Thirteenth National Parliament has an unprecedented opportunity to establish a system of governance that is accountable, transparent, and free from corruption. To ensure this, governance and anti-corruption measures should be incorporated into the mainstream of the government’s five-year strategic plan and its implementation roadmap.
Drawing on the BNP’s 31-point State Reform Framework, the party’s election manifesto, the July Charter, and the reform recommendations of the Anti-Corruption Commission Reform Commission, this set of recommendations has been proposed based on Transparency International Bangladesh’s (TIB) ongoing research and contextual analyses on governance.
