TIB has consistently been conducting research on the national election system for monitoring integrity in Bangladesh's national election process. In this context, TIB has conducted two separate and interrelated studies on tracking the 13th National Parliament election process and candidate identification based on election affidavits.
The purpose of tracking the 13th National Parliament election process included the roles of various stakeholders (Election Commission, political parties, candidates, law enforcement agencies, administration and media), compliance with the electoral code of conduct by political parties and candidates, election expenditure and analysis of information provided in candidates' affidavits. Therefore, 70 seats were selected as samples on a random basis using representative sampling method from a total of 300 parliamentary seats.
