The Power Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources published the “Draft Renewable Energy Policy 2025” on 2 February 2025 to solicit opinions. In this context, Transparency International Bangladesh or TIB completed a review of the said draft policy and submitted recommendations to the relevant authorities.
Subsequently, TIB is calling for the reconsideration and necessary amendment of certain sections of the “Approved Renewable Energy Policy 2025” published by the Power Division on 16 June 2025.
