To make the National Human Rights Commission effective and dynamic, the interim government took the initiative to repeal the National Human Rights Commission Act 2009 and replace it with a new ordinance. On 06 October 2025, Transparency International Bangladesh or TIB provided its analysis and recommendations on the initial draft. Following the subsequent approval of the National Human Rights Commission Ordinance 2025 by the Advisory Council, TIB has once again provided a set of reviews and recommendations as several sections of the approved ordinance are deemed to require urgent amendments.
