In the current digital-reliant global order, taking initiatives to formulate laws related to this sphere is undoubtedly necessary. However, TIB believes that if initiatives are taken to address the multidimensional problems of this sector with only one or two laws without considering the overall vastness of the digital world, without identifying the problems of the existing system, without involving sector experts and stakeholders from the very beginning, and without conducting any cost benefit analysis, it will increase new complexities instead of solving the problems. It will also increase the risk of multidimensional rights violations, especially government surveillance over personal and business data. At the same time, TIB calls for refraining from making the two ordinances effective and instead urges for their implementation after necessary amendments by ensuring the involvement of relevant stakeholders and experts and satisfactorily completing the process of receiving their feedback.
