Workshop on Improved Access to Green Climate Fund - Designing Appropriate Project for Direct Access Entities and Executing Entities
TIB organized a three-day long capacity-building workshop on “Improved Access to Green Climate Fund: Designing Appropriate Project for Direct Access Entities (DAEs) and Executing Entities (EEs)” on 22- 24 December 2018. The residential workshop was designed for potential GCF stakeholders in Bangladesh to increase their capacity to access GCF fund with special focus on
(i) sharing the updated status of climate funds & challenges in accessing fund from GCF;
(ii) building capacity of EEs to develop concept notes and detailed proposals;
(iii) providing expert’s suggestion on the proposal to fix the conceptual and technical aspects to submit a robust project proposal to GCF; and
(iv) creating a network among successful and potential DAEs, EEs and partners to exchange knowledge to guide in accessing GCF fund.
The workshop also focused on the issues such as monitoring the implementation of climate change projects and advocating project implementing organizations to comply with fiduciary, administrative, environmental, social and gender issues for ensuring enhanced access to national and international climate funds. A total of 28 participants from eleven Govt. four NGOs, one university and one private institution attended the workshop. Professor Dr. A.K.
